Wallings Real Dairy Ice Cream has been putting smiles on customers faces for over 20 years. Peter Walling started to make his ice cream in reaction to the imposition of milk quotas and the need to add value to the farms milk production.
From very humble beginnings, it has grown into a business producing over 30 flavours of ice cream and sorbet. The fact that we use our own herds milk and locally sourced cream, we can boast a fully traceable product, which is becoming more and more important especially to our catering customers who want to know the origin of all the goods that they purchase.
The other ingredients that go into our delicious ice cream are purchased locally where possible, with an emphasis on using products such as confectionery, biscuits and coffee, some of which are sold/served in other departments at Wallings Farm.
Product development is an essential part of our business, with new and imaginative flavour combinations always being thought up as well as ice creams for the health conscious and customers with specific dietary requirements are in development stage.
Our Ice Cream Parlour, located at the front of the Pudding House Cafe is a wonderful mix of very modern fittings located in what was one of the farms barns and which still boasts original stonework and wood beamed ceiling.
In there you will find our full range of ice creams available on 4 different types of cones and handy pots with spoons for anyone who doesnt like cones. Customers can also find a whole range of take home tubs in 120ml, 1 litre, 2 litre and 4 litre. We also sell freezer bags to ensure that your take home tubs reach your home in good condition and still frozen!
A visit to our ice cream parlour is a real treat or a real addiction as it appears to be to many customers who visit every week religiously!
