Wallings Local Food Shop

This is the newest addition to the Wallings Farm attraction. We are committed to sourcing as many products as locally as possible for our Pudding House coffee shop and cafe; therefore our retail offering must be centred around local products.

We sell a wide variety of products including: fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, cakes, dairy produce, jams, chutneys, biscuits, tea, coffee, fruit juices, herbs, spices, confectionery, our own hand-crafted chocolates, eggs and honey plus lots more. We also sell diabetic products, gluten free and low sugar/sugar free goods.

This is truly a food lover�s paradise!

Food hampers for that special occasion are available all year round but are particularly useful for Christmas, birthdays, Mothers/Fathers day, when it is sometimes difficult to think of something to buy as a gift for that special someone.

Hampers can be personalised/bespoke to your exact requirements. Situated in what used to be our butchery shop, the Local Food Shop has a wonderfully relaxed, cottage feel, utilising old wooden tables for all our fresh fruit and vegetables and even use a very old church pew to display our range of biscuits made in Darwen. In the shop, you will not be rushed, the atmosphere is conducive to relaxed browsing and we are always on hand to tell you about the products that we stock as we have tried just about all of them � it�s a demanding role!

Food miles is an issue that more and more of the public are switching on to. Many of our customers are concerned with the distance food has travelled to the retailer and ultimately the impact on the environment. At Wallings Farm, we reduce this impact by dealing with suppliers from Lancaster, South Cumbria, Preston, the Fylde Coast, as well as some from East Lancashire.

We are comfortable with the fact that in some ways, we are doing our bit.

We also sell Jute bags which are fantastically natural products that can be used time and time again instead of numerous carrier bags.
